rainy days on sunny days

Why is it that when something amazing is supposed to happen, everything around me crumbles? I booked an indie feature and worked a 14 hour day for one scene. I also missed a shift at work so yet again another suspension is bound to be in my future. God. WHY?! Why can't something just go RIGHT?!
